OUR APPROACH TO TEA
Years of drinking tea taught us that what's good and what gets attention aren't always the same thing. Some of the most interesting teas we've had come from styles nobody talks about anymore, from producers working a small scale, or from tea makers trying things that are hard to sell.
We've always been collectors — drawn to things that hold their value beyond attention or trends. Tedelics started from the same instinct, applied to tea. We look for teas that remain compelling no matter what's currently in favour, the kind you find yourself wanting to return to again and again. Teas with a fingerprint — of a place, a cultivar, a person, a way of doing things.
They're not always the most famous. And most of the time, they're not easy to find. Some survive because a handful of people are stubborn enough to keep making them. Others come from tea makers who are still developing their own style, but whose work already suggests the depth and character that may define them years from now.
Much of our time is spent meeting the people behind the tea, visiting where it is grown, tasting far more than we bring home. What comes back with us has to earn its place — and we want that to be visible: where it came from, what cultivar, who made it, what to expect as you drink it. Not as a label, but as real context — the same kind of understanding you'd only get at the source. What we learn there is what we pass on.
ONE SPACE. TO DRINK, TO DISCOVER AND TO ENJOY TEA
Our tea shop is located in Barcelona, in a space designed for enjoying tea without prejudice or haste. Handcrafted wooden tables, antique Chinese furniture, and artisanal ceramics from around the world create a warm and authentic atmosphere. Here, tea is not just a beverage: it's experienced, smelled, and savored.
We use the space to host tea tastings, scheduled events, or simply to enjoy tea in good company. It's also our warehouse and workspace, where we package, label, and prepare all your orders. We invite you to discover it for yourself, in a relaxed and informal setting.
