What's so special about this tea?

This Oolong comes from Shanlinxi, in Zhushan, Nantou, one of Taiwan's three iconic high-altitude tea regions. The plantation, situated at an altitude of 1,520 meters above sea level, is surrounded by bamboo and fir forests, which impart the fresh, clean character that distinguishes teas from this area.

This batch was hand-harvested on May 12, 2025, selecting the bud and up to the third leaf of the Qing Xin cultivar, considered the most prized for high-altitude oolongs in Taiwan. The degree of oxidation is low, around 15%, which helps preserve the tea's freshness and character.

It stands out for its mountain aroma, a fresh and clean characteristic that makes it unique. The infusion presents aromas of pure alpine forest air, ripe pear, and a floral touch reminiscent of white orchid. The liqueur is a clear and bright yellow-green, with a smooth and silky texture. On the palate, white flowers, melon, hints of tender coconut, and ginkgo milk stand out, balanced by a persistent sweetness and a mineral finish.

We recommend preparing it in a porcelain or enameled teapot or gaiwan to enjoy it to the fullest.
